Hospitals Security Services
Local, state and federal governments hire private security guards to help provide protection at their facilities. Government buildings using private guards include government-run schools, hospitals, local, state and federal government centers, post offices and other properties.
Using private security guards to patrol government buildings is more financially viable for municipalities that can’t afford full-time security personnel. The Department of Homeland Security also makes use of contracted security guard services.
To prepare for possible terrorist attacks on government facilities, state security guard licensing agencies require weapons of mass destruction training. These courses are required so that guards are familiar with the subject matter and have the observation skills necessary to identify and report suspicious activity and react appropriately. If the unthinkable happens, guards report the occurrence while helping control the scene and lead people to safety.
